Lia Gass Rodriguez, MD, is joining Oscar Health as chief health officer.
The company shared the update on LinkedIn Aug. 13. Dr. Rodriguez had worked at CVS Health as a leader for CVS Healthspire Payor Solutions and Aetna. Previously, she was a medical director for Houston-based Texas Children’s Hospital’s health plan, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She is a board-certified pediatrician, as well.
“That foundation still shapes how I think about health. I believe deeply in generational health — that improving the health of parents and caregivers today is one of the most powerful investments we can make in the health of the next generation,” she said on LinkedIn. “That desire to create broader, lasting impact is a big part of what drew me to Oscar.”
