Health insurer stock report: Week of July 31-Aug. 4

Four of the five major commercial payers saw their stock prices rise last week.

Louisville, Ky.-based Humana saw the greatest increase in share price at 5.51 percent.

Bloomfield, Conn.-based Cigna is the only payer that saw its share prices fall last week.

Here is how the five health insurers fared. 

  • Aetna (Hartford, Conn.): $156.79 per share (up 1 percent)
  • Anthem (Indianapolis): $190.48 per share (up 1.43 percent)
  • Cigna (Bloomfield, Conn.): $172.55 per share (down 0.81 percent)
  • Humana (Louisville, Ky.): $245.93 per share (up 5.51 percent)
  • UnitedHealth Group (Minnetonka, Minn.): $194.88 per share (up 1.95 percent)
