Sparks Clinic physicians, UnitedHealthcare split ties

Sparks Clinic physicians in Forth Smith, Ark., went out of network with Minnetonka, Minn.-based UnitedHealthcare Aug. 1.

Affected UnitedHealthcare members include those covered by commercial, individual and Medicare Advantage plans.

Fort Smith-based Sparks Regional Medical Center and other facilities are not affected by the network status change. However, the medical center and affiliated facilities may become out-of-network for UnitedHealthcare policyholders by Nov. 1, according to a Sparks Clinic press release obtained by Becker’s Hospital Review
