CMS has named Melissa Fannin as chief of workforce strategy.
“I am honored to rejoin the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, this time as an SES Political in the Office of the Administrator,” she wrote on Linkedin on June 10. “The talent within this organization is remarkable, and the team’s dedication to its mission is inspiring. I look forward to serving and applying my knowledge to advance the agency’s goals.”
Ms. Fannin served as chief growth officer at Elevance Health for more than two years, beginning in 2022. She previously held executive positions at Optum, and served at CMS during the George W. Bush administration.
