A health tech company spun out of Blue Shield of California has released a new data platform aimed at giving payers a foundation for decision-making and AI deployment across core plan operations.
Stellarus, created when Blue Shield restructured under parent company Ascendiun in early 2025, launched AtlasIQ to consolidate clinical, claims, member, provider and operational data into a single continuously updated source, the company said June 2.
The platform replaces batch-processed file transfers with real-time data integration and currently processes more than 530 billion records for Blue Shield, governed by more than 15,000 integration and quality logic rules. Targeted workflows include customer service, prior authorization and claims processing.
Stellarus added BCBS Kansas and Hawaii Medical Service Association as co-founding partners in September, each taking an ownership stake.
