The Morning Consult Brand Intelligence survey comprised responses from more than 36,000 American adults from October 2016 to May 2017.

The survey showed 41 percent of adults reported a positive view of Humana and 42 percent of adults viewed Aetna favorably. Comparatively, 38 percent of respondents viewed Minnetonka, Minn.-based UnitedHealth Group favorably, which exited the exchanges this year.

A week after Aetna decided to exit the 2018 ACA exchanges, its favorability dropped only two points. Humana’s favorability increased after its exchange exit, from 38 percent on Feb. 14 to 40 percent a week later, according to the report.
