Oscar Health appointed independent director Siddhartha Sankaran as board chair, according to an April 21 news release.
Mr. Sankaran’s role will be effective June 4. He will follow Jeffery Boyd, who has served as chair since February 2021 and is not seeking reelection. Mr. Sankaran joined the board that same month.
Mr. Sankaran previously acted as Oscar’s CFO from March 2019 to March 2021 and interim CFO from January 2023 through August 2023. He has more than two decades of insurance experience and has held executive positions at American International Group, SiriusPoint and FWD Group Holdings.
