From hiring a chief technology officer to completing its acquisition of MaxHealth, here are eight updates on Humana that Becker’s has reported since Feb. 17:
1. Humana named Bobby Mukundan senior vice president and chief technology officer.
2. Robert Field, principal and managing member of ηMed Capital Management, was named to Humana’s board of directors.
3. A judge denied a motion to dismiss a lawsuit alleging an antitrust conspiracy by healthcare technology company Zelis and five major health insurers, including Humana.
4. A judge denied a motion to dismiss a lawsuit alleging a broker kickback scheme involving CVS Health’s Aetna, Elevance Health and Humana.
5. Parts of Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health’s Colorado and Texas markets are back in network for Humana Medicare Advantage members under a national, three-year agreement.
6. A former Humana employee filed a class-action lawsuit alleging the insurer improperly deducted a tobacco surcharge as part of its medical coverage.
7. Humana President and CEO Jim Rechtin was paid $18.8 million in total compensation in 2025, according to the company’s regulatory filings.
8. Humana’s healthcare services division, CenterWell, completed its acquisition of MaxHealth, a Tampa, Fla.-based primary care network focused on adults and seniors
