Aetna appointed Lisa Baird as the CEO of Aetna Better Health of Missouri and Corey Pleasants as CEO of Aetna Better Health of Pennsylvania, according to April 2 LinkedIn posts.
Ms. Baird has spent nearly 20 years leading Aetna Medicaid plans, most recently serving as COO of the Kansas plan. She will oversee strategy and operations. Ms. Baird returns to Aetna Better Health of Missouri following stints in Kansas and Kentucky, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Mr. Pleasants has spent more than 15 years working with Medicaid populations. He was previously COO at Aetna Better Health of Virginia. He will focus on clinical outcomes and provider collaboration. Paula Starnes served as the Pennsylvania CEO until October.
