CarepathRx has joined Evernorth Health Services, a division of the Cigna Group.
According to a statement to Becker’s from Evernorth, the acquisition was completed in 2025 as part of the company’s strategy to expand support for patients with specialty conditions and the clinicians who treat them.
The move follows a 2023 strategic partnership formed between Evernorth and CarepathRx Health System Solutions, a CarepathRx subsidiary. At the time, Evernorth made a minority investment to expand pharmacy and infusion services for hospitals and health systems treating patients with chronic and complex conditions.
CarepathRx supports hundreds of hospitals and health systems with pharmacy and infusion services focused on patients with complex conditions. Its integration into Evernorth expands Cigna’s footprint in specialty pharmacy and health system partnerships.
CarepathRx and its subsidiaries will operate as part of Evernorth, Cigna’s health services platform that manages pharmacy benefit and care delivery assets.
