Melissa Mohon — executive director of compliance, privacy and regulatory affairs for Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Health Plans — was chosen to chair the Medicare Advantage Plan Alliance Compliance Forum, according to a Feb. 2 news release.
As chair, Ms. Mohon will work to advance compliance and collaboration between MA plans and CMS. Forum member plans cover more than 75% of MA beneficiaries, the news release said.
Ms. Mohon possesses over two decades of experience in healthcare compliance and regulatory affairs, including past roles with managed care- and insurance-focused Grey Steel Advisors and medication-management company RxLive. At Johns Hopkins, Ms. Mohon addresses regulatory guidance across five types of plans.
Ms. Mohon succeeds Regan Pennypacker, former director of government programs compliance at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island.
