Aetna’s Medicaid President, Mark Santos, has been named senior vice president and head of network strategy and provider experience.

Mr. Santos has been with the insurer for more than two decades, serving in a variety of leadership roles, including president of the company’s New England market.

“As I settle into my new role, I’m focused on continuing to make the provider experience an essential part of how we deliver on our promise to help members improve and maintain their health and well-being,” he wrote on Linkedin on Jan. 12. “Strong support for providers creates better access, experiences and outcomes for the people and communities we serve.”

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
