Louisville, Ky.-based Norton Healthcare and Norton Children’s will stay in network with Cigna Healthcare, according to an Oct. 3 statement on the health system’s website.
The partnership was originally scheduled to terminate on Sept. 8, but Norton and Cigna discussed an extension. Effective Oct. 1, the contract is in place.
“We appreciate your patience during this process. Our priority has always been to ensure uninterrupted access to the care you trust,” Norton said.
Norton operates more than 480 facilities in Kentucky and southern Indiana.
