Steve Collis is joining Elevance Health’s board of directors, effective Aug. 1.
Mr. Collis is currently the executive chairman of the board for Cencora (formerly AmerisourceBergen), according to a July 28 Elevance news release. He joined the company in 1994 and became president and CEO in 2011, holding the role until he became executive chairman in 2024.
He will serve on the Elevance board’s audit and finance committees.
“Steve brings a distinguished record of leadership, transformation, and operational excellence,” Elevance Board Chairman Ramey Peru said in the release. “His insights will support our continued focus on delivering high-quality care, driving innovation, and creating enduring value for the people and communities we serve.”
