The startup payer reemerged to serve a hyper local central Texas market following its 1994 inception. It relaunched and based its services in Austin to serve the city’s growing number of entrepreneurs and small businesses. The off-federal exchange plan offers free 24/7 telemedicine communication with physicians, among other services.

“People know the name of their coffee shop barista but they barely have a relationship with their health plan,” Vista360health President Sharon Alvis said in a prepared statement. “Our model is simple — offer an extensive network of high quality providers, affordable health plans and focused attention on our members.”
