Below are approved increases for insurers offering individual plans on the state’s exchange.
- Capital Advantage Assurance (43.3 percent)
- Keystone Health Plan Central (32.4 percent)
- Highmark (50.2 percent)
- Geisinger Health Plan (42.1 percent)
- Keystone Health Plan East (28 percent)
- Independence Blue Cross (28.4 percent)
- UPMC Health Coverage (17.9 percent)
Small group plan premiums will increase an average 7.1 percent for next year. Seventy-five percent of Pennsylvania residents who purchase ACA health plans receive subsidies to offset costs.
Insurance Commissioner Teresa Miller also moved to join a lawsuit against the federal government requesting required risk corridor payments to health insurer Highmark.
