HCA, Florida Blue Renew Contract

Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America has reached a new contract with Florida Blue.

Under the contract renewal, all of HCA’s 42 hospitals and 32 ambulatory surgery centers in Florida will remain as in-network providers for Florida Blue members. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In September, HCA’s Florida hospitals agreed to a new two-year contract with Humana. HCA also has been expanding its Florida division, recently acquiring all three state hospitals from Franklin, Tenn.-based IASIS Healthcare.
