About 10,000 Medicare Advantage patients will be affected. Tufts’ other policyholders will remain in network with Steward.
A spokesperson from Tufts said the payer and provider could not reach an agreement even with the “best efforts of both organizations,” according to the report. A Steward spokesperson said all affected patients have been notified.
