Elevance Health’s Carelon is ceasing operations in Ireland and will lay off 300 employees in Limerick, the Irish Times reported May 28.

“After carefully considering alternatives and conducting a consultation process with employee representatives, we have made the difficult decision that we will cease our operations of Carelon Global Solutions Ireland Limited,” the company told the outlet in a statement. “The process to close operations will occur over the course of the next several months, and we expect it to be completed by the end of 2025.”

The company first launched in Ireland in 2021 and offered data solutions to providers and health insurers.
