Aetna Medicaid has partnered with the National Alliance for Care at Home and MissionCare Collective to improve home healthcare access and support the direct care workforce in Illinois, Louisiana and North Carolina.
The pilot program is funded by Aetna and will involve home health providers across the three states, according to a May 13 news release. The goal is to create a scalable model to ensure high-quality care for patients in their homes. The initiative will also focus on addressing the economic security of Medicaid-eligible caregivers.
The initiative will also look to address the shortage of direct care workers who care for older adults and individuals with disabilities, especially within Long Term Services and Supports through Medicaid programs.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 17–19 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
