The Omaha, Neb.-based insurer follows BCBS of Michigan in covering the minimally invasive SI joint fusion using SI Bone’s iFuse device. The decision to cover the procedure was based on review of clinical literature scientifically validating iFuse’s use in the treatment of back pain.
Coverage was extended to 700,000 policyholders.
