Here are four things to know about the appointment.
1. Mr. Marsella will be a lead consultant with large-market clients in the Midwest.
2. He has 24 years in the healthcare industry. He spent 12 years at Hartford, Conn.-based Aetna, acting as vice president of large case sales and producer relations. Mr. Marsella also worked at Bloomfield, Conn.-based Cigna for 12 years in underwriting, account management and sales.
3. Mr. Marsella earned his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management at Evanston, Ill.-based Northwestern University. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Worcester, Mass.-based College of the Holy Cross.
4. He is board chairman of Chicago-based Erie Family Health Center.
