Clover Health has named Shelly Gupta, MD, chief medical officer of Medicare Advantage.
Dr. Gupta was most recently CMO for Humana’s Health Horizons Medicaid plan in Louisiana, where he led the launch of the plan, according to an April 7 news release. Dr. Gupta joined Humana in 2014, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In his role at Clover, Dr. Gupta will lead clinical and pharmacy operations, quality improvement and value-based efforts.
Clover Health has more than 80,000 Medicare Advantage members.
