A BCBSNC spokesperson told ABC11 the insurer knows about the situation and is fixing the outage. The spokesperson also said the outage is different than the insurer’s system failure in January that some executives dubbed the most serious system failure in recent decades.
The insurer expects to correct the outage in 48 hours. BCBSNC said the outage does not affect its members’ coverage. Physicians, hospitals and pharmacies are being notified.
