The deal shifts coverage from Molina Healthcare of Texas — a subsidiary of Long Beach, Calif.-based Molina Healthcare — to Memorial Hermann Health System’s health insurance plan, according to Houston Business Journal.
The deal will affect 14,000 Star, Medicare, Medicaid and Children’s Hearth Insurance Plan members.
In addition, Memorial Hermann Health Plan will become a contracted provider in Molina Healthcare’s network serving Medicare members in Molina’s dual eligible special needs plan and Star+plus plan.
The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2017.
