Ms. Cox succeeds Dr. Edbauer and will become the first woman to lead the Buffalo-based health plan, effective July 29. She previously served in several executive roles at Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.
Dr. Edbauer was in charge locally of HealthNow’s transition to Highmark over the last three years and will lead provider partnership strategy across New York, Delaware, and parts of Pennsylvania.
