The move will initially affect UnitedHealthcare the most because it is the only for-profit organization with a Minnesota Medicaid contract, the Star Tribune reported May 28.
UnitedHealthcare has nearly 32,000 Medicaid enrollees in the state, with the entire program covering around 1.1 million people, according to the report. UnitedHealth’s current contract ends this year.
