The payer is creating an in-house reproductive care team led by an OB/GYN physician to help  members find access to infertility/IVF, maternity and abortion services, along with providing resources and medical guidance.

BCBSMA has also partnered with virtual care provider Maven Clinic to offer 24/7 video appointments and virtual support for reproductive services, according to a Feb. 5 news release. Maven’s maternity foundation program is available at no cost to fully-insured 51+ accounts and as an optional service for self-insured accounts.

BCBSMA also plans to offer Maven services to its employees in the coming months.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration. Apply for complimentary registration now.
