Highmark snags Medicaid contract in West Virginia

West Virginia has awarded Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of West Virginia a four-year Medicaid managed care contract.

Beneficiaries can begin enrolling in June for a July 1 coverage date, according to a Jan. 16 news release.

West Virginia also contracts with Aetna, The Health Plan, and Elevance’s UniCare to administer its Medicaid program.
