The order is part of Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s recent declaration of a public health emergency regarding gun violence in the state.
The superintendent’s mandate orders insurers to cover out-of-network behavioral health services at in-network rates. The order applies to all fully-insured individual, small and large group plans, including exchange plans.
