Top Medicare Part D plans of 2023, per Forbes 

UnitedHealthcare offers the best Medicare Part D prescription drug plan in 2023, according to a ranking published Sept. 8 by Forbes Health.

The ranking is based on how many states payers provide coverage, the number of Part D plans they offer, average premiums and deductibles, and how CMS ranks the plan, among other factors. Plans were ranked on a five-star scale.

Top Medicare Part D plans of 2023:

UnitedHealthcare: 5 stars

Cigna Healthcare: 4.8 stars

Humana: 4.6 stars

Aetna: 4.4 stars

BCBS plans: 4.1 stars
