According to an Aug. 1 news release, the collaboration will provide Medicare Advantage plans in Illinois in 2024, pending regulatory approval.
“Our partnership will combine localized care with a member-focused, community-based health plan, reflecting our mission and commitment to the communities we’ve been called to serve,” Ralph Velazquez, MD, chief medical officer of OSF Healthcare, said in the release.
Medica, based in Minnesota, operates in 12 states.
