The analysts noted that insurtech direct premiums grew significantly last year, with about a dozen companies across insurance industries reporting growth of 100 percent or more.
Health insurtechs that wrote the most direct premiums in 2022:
- Oscar: $4.9 billion, up 109 percent
- Bright Health: $4.1 billion, up 56 percent
- Friday Health Plans: $1.4 billion, up 364 percent
- Devoted Health: $1.1 billion, up 107 percent
- Clover Health: $1.1 billion, up 36 percent
