BCBS Tennessee selling 11-acre Chattanooga campus

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has listed an 11-acre campus in Chattanooga for sale, the Chattanooga Times Free Press reported April 28.

The company moved to permanent remote work in 2022 and does not require the majority of its 6,300 employees to come to an office. 

BCBS Tennessee sold office spaces in Johnson City, Knoxville and Nashville at the end of 2022, according to the Times Free Press. 

A spokesperson for the payer told the Times Free Press BCBS Tennessee plans to keep its Cameron Hill site in Chattanooga as the company’s long-term headquarters. 

The 11-acre campus has 185,00 square feet of office space and is valued at $11.8 million, according to the Times Free Press.
