Point32Health is laying off approximately 100 employees, or 2.3% of its workforce.

“We regularly review our organization to ensure our teams and department functions are optimally set up to deliver for our members and customers,”  spokesperson for the company told Becker’s March 9. “As a result, we made the difficult decision to restructure some teams in select departments.”

The insurer, parent company of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan, reported a $301 million operating loss in 2025 amid rising medical and pharmacy costs, particularly for GLP-1s. To help stem losses, the company cut GLP-1 coverage for weight loss and previously laid off more than 360 employees, among other initiatives.

“Similar to most businesses, we will continue to evaluate our operations and make appropriate adjustments as needed,” the company said. “Colleagues who were impacted will be provided with resources to assist and support them through this transition, including severance packages and outplacement services.”
