Bon Secours Medical Group, part of Bon Secours St. Francis Health System in Greenville, S.C., dropped its contract with Minnetonka, Minn.-based UnitedHealthcare. The change was effective Feb. 14, according to a GreenvilleOnline report.

A U.S. District Court judge sided with the Justice Department Feb. 8 and blocked Indianapolis-based Anthem's proposed $54 billion acquisition of Bloomfield, Conn.-based Cigna, stating the combined payer entity would hurt consumers and hamper innovation.

Louisville, Ky.-based Humana plans to no longer provide individual products through ACA exchanges effective Jan. 1, 2018. The insurer cited an unbalanced risk pool as the reason for its departure.
