Humana, UnitedHealth execs named among 24/7 Wall St.’s best CEOs of 2016

Financial news organization 24/7 Wall St. named Humana’s and UnitedHealth’s CEOs to its The Best CEOs of 2016 list.

To identify 15 of the nation’s best CEOs, the publication examined various data for S&P 500 companies such as historical share prices, CEO tenures and performance metrics.

Bruce Broussard, CEO of Louisville, Ky.-based Humana, was ranked No. 14 on the list. Mr. Broussard has served as CEO since January 2013, and has seen Humana’s shares nearly double in value over the last three years, according to the report.  

Stephen Hemsley, CEO of Minnetonka, Minn.-based UnitedHealth Group, was ranked No. 8 on the list. He has helmed UnitedHealth since November 2006. Mr. Hemsley’s tenure at the insurer has also been paired with a steady rise in the company’s stocks.
