In a statement to News 12 Denison, Cigna said the motivation behind the move comes from lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company said the work-from-home model works best for its Denison workflow.

During the pandemic, Cigna shifted employees around the country to remote work, and Denison employees will continue to do so.

All employees currently at the Denison center will retain their positions as the facility is vacated.
