Kimberly Ross will join Cigna's board of directors June 1, 2020, the health insurer said Oct. 29.
Ms. Ross is currently a director of Nestlé and a director and chair of the audit committee of chemical manufacturing company PQ Corp. From September 2014 to July 2017, she served as senior vice president and CFO of Baker Hughes, a supplier to the oil and gas industry.
Prior to that, Ms. Ross was executive vice president and CFO of Avon Products, a global consumer products company.
Of Ms. Ross' appointment, Isaiah Harris Jr., chairman of Cigna's board, said: "Cigna's board refreshment process is an important way for the company to continually update the collective skillset of its directors and bring fresh perspectives into the board room. Kimberly's wealth of finance, international and public company experience — as well as her significant management and leadership skills and perspective — will make her a valuable addition to Cigna's board."
