While Park Ridge Health is roughly 15 miles from Mission Health, the system has offices in Asheville and surrounding areas.
Earlier this month, Mission Health declared plans to leave BCBS of North Carolina’s network by Oct. 5. While BCBS of North Carolina argued the health system demanded payment increases that would hike premiums, Mission Health countered the payer’s proposed rate reductions would be unsustainable.
