Of the 50 positions cut, 27 employees will be laid off due to BCBS of Minnesota’s decision to outsource its behavioral health management to Magellan of Arizona.
Another 13 of the cuts include IT positions, although those eliminations were announced in 2015 as part of a multiyear plan to decommission the insurer’s IT system, according to the report.
