St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is back in network with Minnetonka, Minn.-based UnitedHealthcare following the termination of their contract May 11, Tampa Bay Times reports.
All Children's and UnitedHealthcare reached a preliminary agreement on rates June 9, allowing UnitedHealthcare policyholders to pay in-network rates immediately, the report states. No details of the negotiations were disclosed.
All Children's and UnitedHealthcare ended their contract in May following the hospital's request for a 35 percent reimbursement hike. The contract dispute affected more than 10,000 pediatric patients.
Jonathan Ellen, MD, president of All Children's, told Tampa Bay Times there are still some specific contract terms that need to be resolved, and expects the final agreement won't be inked until July 1.
