CMS identified five contracts with consistently low star ratings and issued a warning for their quality performance, according to data released Oct. 10.
Medicare ranks Medicare Advantage and Part D plans on a quality scale of one to five stars, with five representing excellent performance and one reflecting poor performance. Five contracts were warned for receiving a Medicare Advantage and/or Part D prescription drug plan summary rating of 2.5 or fewer stars from 2018-2020. They are:
QHP Financial Group's Quality Health Plans of New York
Delaware Life Insurance Co.'s Community Care Alliance Of Illinois
Centers Plan for Healthy Living
Universal Health Services' Prominence Healthfirst of Texas
Magellan Health's Merit Health Insurance Company
