BCBS Association names 5 senior leaders

The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association has named five senior leaders to roles spanning technology, policy, operations and communications.

1. Mouli Venkatesan, chief information and technology officer. Mr. Venkatesan will oversee BCBSA’s IT infrastructure, technology modernization and AI deployment. He previously spent 18 years at UnitedHealth Group in various leadership roles.

2. Corey McCarty, senior vice president of business operations. Mr. McCarty will lead efforts to improve Medicare Advantage for members in the Federal Employee Program. He previously held senior leadership roles at Commonwealth Care Alliance and BCBS Rhode Island.

3. Rebecca D’Amico, vice president of business operations. Ms. D’Amico previously served as vice president of strategy and chief of staff to BCBSA President and CEO Kim Keck. In her new role, she will focus on operations and MA strategy.

4. Amanda Lincoln, vice president of policy and advocacy. Ms. Lincoln will lead engagement with policymakers and industry leaders on cost-related policy. She most recently served as staff director for the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee and chief advisor to Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), the committee’s chair.

5. Katie McBreen, vice president of strategic communications and marketing. Ms. McBreen will lead a newly combined brand strategy, marketing and communications team. She previously oversaw the organization’s external communications, digital and creative strategy.
