Aetna has named COO Katerina Guerraz as president of its Medicaid division. She will continue serving as chief operating officer.
“This expanded responsibility is an opportunity to further strengthen our mission by deepening our focus on serving Medicaid members – delivering exceptional experiences, advancing innovation, and expanding access to care for the communities we serve,” she wrote Feb. 2 on LinkedIn.
Ms. Guerraz has been with Aetna and CVS Health for two decades, joining in 2006. She has held several executive leadership roles, most recently serving as executive vice president and COO at Aetna since 2024. Before that, she served as executive vice president, chief strategy officer and enterprise affairs at CVS.
Aetna’s former Medicaid president, Mark Santos, was named senior vice president and head of network strategy and provider experience in January.
