UnitedHealthcare to end paper proof of payment in 3 states, Washington, D.C.

Providers in Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio and Washington, D.C. will no longer be mailed paper providers remittance advice for UnitedHealthcare Community Health Plans, according to a June 1 bulletin from the payer.

The change goes into effect Sept. 9. but does not affect the payment method for subscribers enrolled in Optum Pay. 

Provider remittance advice will continue to be mailed for behavioral health and home and community based services, according to the bulletin.
