BCBS of SC gives $1M to flood relief efforts

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Foundation are donating $1 million to South Carolina nonprofit organizations aiding flood victims, according to SCNow.com.

South Carolina was hit by heavy rainfalls in early October during Hurricane Joaquin, according to CBS News.

The Columbia-based insurer and its foundation encourage 501(c)(3) organizations providing flood relief to apply. Potential projects include efforts supporting the health and human services of victims.
