1. Mayo adds 5 new centers of excellence under Optum program
Optum designated several specialties and service lines at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic as Centers of Excellence, a bundled program for UnitedHealthcare customers and employers. While Mayo has participated in Optum’s CEO program for transplants for 11 years, the new agreement will allow the system’s locations in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota to participate as CEOs for cancer, bariatric surgery and heart failure.
