Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health reached a new agreement with Anthem Blue Cross of California, the companies said March 20.
Under the agreement, Sutter will provide Anthem Blue Cross members access to health services at in-network rates through Dec. 31, 2022. Sutter operates 24 hospitals, five medical foundations and 36 outpatient surgery centers for more than 3 million patients.
"Sutter Health is pleased that we have reached a multiyear agreement with Anthem Blue Cross that provides patients with access to Sutter Health's high-quality integrated network while keeping care affordable," Sutter Health President and CEO Sarah Krevans said in a prepared statement. "We value the relationship we have with our patients and the ability to continue to serve them."
Sutter and Anthem Blue Cross hit a contract snare in January over rates.
