Mayo Clinic Health System, BCBS of Minn. enter agreement

A new contract between Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Health System creates lower insurance rates for Minnesota state employees, according to the Mankato Free Press.

Through the agreement, members of the State Employee Group Insurance Program will have lower deductibles and copays when receiving care at Mayo Clinic Health System sites throughout the state. The contract lowers Mayo Clinic costs from a tier-four cost level to a tier-two cost level, according to the St. Peter Herald.

SEGIP members can enroll in the plan as early as Nov. 1.
